BREAKING NEWS: We are pleased to announce that Notre Dame's 1988 national championship-winning quarterback Tony Rice will join us for the Angelo Bertelli Memorial Golf Classic and Dinner on Thursday, October 3, 2013. Also joining will be former ND and NFL wide receiver Bobby Brown and Jerry Barca (author of Unbeatable), both 1999 ND graduates. The 3 have graciously agreed to hold a Q&A session for registered participants. The book Unbeatable will be available for purchase at The Stadium, where Tony Rice will personally sign your copy.

Golf will be a 10:30 shotgun start at Garrison Golf Club (http://www.thegarrison.com/golf.html), located just across the Hudson River from West Point. The Stadium hosts one of the world's greatest sports memorabilia collections, including 2 Heisman Trophies. Volunteer for Special Olympics Golf
Volunteer Needed for Northern NJ Special Olympics Golf event
This is an early heads up for anyone interesting in playing a round or two of golf as the partner of a Special Olympics athlete in his qualifying tournament in September and hopefully the championship tournament in October.
Basic responsibilities are to:
- Play 9 to 27 holes prior to Labor Day as practice (usually in August)
- Partner with athlete in a qualifying competition on a Saturday in September
- Partner with athlete in the finals, usually on a Thursday in October.
Notre Dame Hospital Support Program
Call for support during hospitalization away from home
The Hospital Support Program is a service provided by the Notre Dame Club Network and the Alumni Association. The Notre Dame Club of Northern New Jersey is actively participating in this program. The program was founded by the Notre Dame Senior Alumni and assists members of the Notre Dame family when hospitalized while away from home – whether planned in advance or the result of an accident or illness while traveling.

25th Annual Bookstore Basketball Tournament
Who: Notre Dame Club of Northern New Jersey
What: 25th annual Alumni Bookstore Basketball 5 on 5 Tournament
(and 3 on 3 half court for players over 40)
Where: Volunteer Park + other designated public courts in Parsippany, NJ

Bookstore games are 5 on 5 full court games. Games start at 9 am. Teams generally play 2 or 3 games to determine seeding for the single game elimination playoffs. Championship Game usually ends around 1 PM. We hire refs for the championship and semi final games; we may also hire refs for quarterfinals if enough teams sign up. We will have backup indoor courts available in the event of rain.
Each team must have at least 1 player who is affiliated with Notre Dame and/or the Notre Dame Club of North Jersey as a student, graduate, dues paying member, or parent of a current student. Games are 5 on 5. Most teams have at least 1 or 2 subs.
Entry Fees: $20 per player plus $35 per team to subsidize cost of referees. But we also welcome additional donations, especially this year as we are donating proceeds to a children's cancer ward center (see below).
1st Annual “Over 40” 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

The ND Club of Northern NJ is conducting its annual membership drive for both new and existing members. We offer 2 different levels of membership:

- Current Students, Class of 2010, Class of 1960 and earlier (Free)
With your membership, you will be provided priority access to ND Club events with limited capacity, receive discounts relative to non-members on certain events and be placed on our distribution list for future events.

Support The Northern NJ Club’s Scholarship Fund
Each year, our Club provides scholarship assistance to students from Northern New Jersey. We build our scholarship fund balances via revenue earned through membership dues and fundraising events. In addition, Notre Dame alums and friends may donate directly into our scholarship fund to support our scholarship initiative for Northern NJ students. There are several ways to contribute to a specific club's scholarship fund:
- Earmark your ND annual donation for the Notre Dame Club of Northern NJ Scholarship fund. Send it by mail to the University of Notre Dame, Office of Financial Aid, 115 Main Building, Notre Dame, IN 46556.
- Make an online contribution at supporting.nd.edu. Please indicate the Northern NJ club scholarship fund as the club you want to support.
- Send a payment directly to the Notre Dame Development office. Make checks payable to the University of Notre Dame and mail to the Development Office, 1100 Grace Hall, Notre Dame, Indiana 46556. Please specify the Northern NJ Club’s scholarship fund on the check's memo line.
