Lenten Fast Program |

The Notre Dame Club of Northern NJ is sponsoring its second annual Lenten Fast Program in order to raise awareness and provide assistance to local organizations that provide food for those who might otherwise go hungry.
As we approach the season of Lent, a time of fast and sacrifice, the Notre Dame Club of Northern NJ would like to ask you to make a difference with your Ash Wednesday and Good Friday fasts. We would like for you to consider donating the meal you skip to those in our area who are unable to provide for themselves. We would ask that you consider donating the value of your meal to your church food pantry, community food bank or the Center for Food Action (“CFA”), an organization that is dedicated to preventing hunger and homelessness in Northern New Jersey. These organizations will accept food, gift card and monetary donations as outlined below. A list of local food pantries in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Passaic counties may be found in the files attached to this announcment.
The CFA recently introduced a Weekend Snack Program (WSPP) that is designed to fill the gap of children who receive free or reduced priced school meals but are left without adequate nutrition on the weekend and holiday breaks. The WSPP will provide healthy, kid-friendly, and eas...

WHAT
The Hospital Support Program is a service provided by the Notre Dame Club Network and the Alumni Association. The Notre Dame Club of Northern New Jersey is actively participating in this program. The program was founded by the Notre Dame Senior Alumni and assists members of the Notre Dame family when hospitalized while away from home – whether planned in advance or the result of an accident or illness while traveling. An additional element of the program which some Notre Dame Clubs may choose to offer is assistance to local club members who are hospitalized, confined to a nursing home, or homebound.
WHO
The program extends to all of the Notre Dame Family including alumni, students, spouses, children, parents, employees, and subway alumni.
HOW
Call the toll free number and be connected to an operator, who, in the case of an emergency, will stay with you on the line until you are connected with a Notre Dame contact person. Or, send an email and a reply will be sent to you from the matching ND club.

The ND Club of Northern NJ is conducting its annual membership drive for both new and existing members. We offer 4 different levels of membership:
____ Golden Dome ($100)
____ ND Blue ($75)
____ Irish Green ($50)
____ 2008 Graduates ($35)
____ Current Students (Free)
With your membership, you will be provided access to ND Club events and be placed on our distribtuion list for future events including the Football team's visit to the Meadowlands in 2010.
